The View From Here...(Project 52 - Week 9)

Alternately titled...

...I like Pink. Do you?

...Dear Walgreens, Thank you for your service this morning. Sincerely, The Maranell's

...Yum, Yum, Gimme Som'

...Cough, Cough,
Sneeze, Sneeze,
Strep Throat,
Medicine Please!!!

Okay you get the idea. It has been a splendid week here. Obviously not much "photography" work has been going on. The three kiddos went down first at various times over the past 12 days, and then a couple days ago I went down hard. So this morning we had a Family Morning Out to the weekend clinic. Luckily, our regular doctor (who we can only get in to when he's "on-call") happened to be the doctor on-call this weekend. We took up 4 appointments (Mommy and the kids). That's a whole hour of his Saturday morning, folks. So he put half of us in one room and the other half next door in the other room and went back and forth. :)

In the end, everyone had a diagnosis and some medicine requested. Next stop - WALGREENS. The poor Walgreens technician and pharmacist had to mix bottle after bottle after bottle of medicine for us. They even put different kid's meds in different size bottles to help us keep them straight. Now, since you have to take this stuff 3x a day for 10 days, that's a lot of doses. Now multiply that by multiple children and you are left with a LARGE bag the Walgreens pharmacist hands you (as well as parting words of wisdom to "stay home, watch movies, and eat ice cream sundaes!")

So here we sit with it snowing outside AGAIN, and bottle after bottle after bottle of medicine sitting in our refrigerator. And it's not just "pink stuff" either...Delaney gets a more powerful antibiotic this time around (since she just had strep 3 weeks ago), and we also get to try our hand at getting a 6 year old to do a nasal spray. Yah, I'll let you know about that one.

And now as we go...May the Lord bless you, may it stop snowing and warm up so we can open our windows and fumigate our house, and may the "pink stuff" be your best friend (as well as ours).

Cheers! I'm going to go drink a gallon of water now.

(P.S. - If you are someone in need of a photographer and came looking here to see some of my work, please completely disregard you ever read this post. This is simply the easiest way to let the masses know since lots of people are wondering if we're feeling better yet... ;)
